At Jim Walter Homes, we have been matching families with affordable homes for more than 50 years. Our range of floor plans, levels of completion and mortgage financing capabilities all work together to overcome barriers to home ownership. In many cases, your clients can purchase an affordable home with no money down.

We strive to make it easy for you to match your client with an affordable home from Jim Walter
You and your client will work with our Sales Counselors, who are experts in finding the right home for each customer, to guide your client through all of the details of home selection, mortgage financing and building.

We offer a 3% commission, payable to your broker when the home goes under construction
Many builders do not pay real estate commissions until closing. At Jim Walter Homes, we pay commissions as soon as the home is under construction. This can result in commissions being payable months sooner!

We make home mortgage financing available
Through our mortgage financing partner, we make it easy for qualified property owners to finance their new home with no money down. For your clients who do not own land free and clear, our mortgage financing partner makes financing available to qualified buyers which may include land, improvements to land and tap fees, all in the home mortgage.

Here’s how it works:

  • Personally accompany your client to a sales center and complete a Realtor registration package. This referral relationship is valid for 60 days from the date of registration.
  • When the customer signs a contract and it has been accepted by JWH, you receive a letter notifying you of the contract.
  • First sale: 3% commission is payable to your sponsoring broker when the home goes under construction. There is no guarantee as to when the home enters construction, as situations vary.
  • Second sale within one calendar year of the first client: 3% commission + a $100 American Express Gift Cheque (payable to your broker)
  • Third sale within one calendar year of the first client: 3% commission + a $200 American Express Gift Cheque (payable to your broker)
  • Fourth sale and beyond within one calendar year of the first client: 3% commission + a $300 American Express Gift Cheque (payable to your broker)
